Privacy Policy
THE GREAT TAV PICKS is a US-based information service for adults 18 and older. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address, a password hash (never the password itself), and your subscription status. A display name, appearance choice, and live-chat messages are stored only if you send them.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card numbers. Stripe receives the billing details needed to charge a Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly VIP plan. We keep a Stripe customer id and the subscription status so we know whether VIP is active.
Cookies and ads
We use cookies to keep you signed in (tav_session), remember your language (NEXT_LOCALE), remember appearance (tav_look), and remember the Tavumvum board layout (tav_board). We do not run a separate analytics product. When a Google AdSense publisher id is configured, the site loads Google AdSense to show ads. Google may set cookies and use data to serve and measure those ads under Google’s own policy. Ads never change a pick or a score.
How we use data
We use account data to sign you in, run VIP access, send password-reset links you request, answer support email, and keep the site secure. Sign-in limits store a hash of the email or IP, not the raw value. We do not use this data to take wagers or operate a sportsbook.
Retention
We keep the account email, password hash, and subscription status while the account is open, and for as long as billing, security, or the law requires. You can ask us to delete the account. Password-reset secrets are stored only as a hash, are single-use, and expire.
We do not sell personal data
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. Google AdSense, when a publisher id is configured, may use cookies to serve and measure ads under Google’s policy.
Your rights
You may ask to access the personal information we hold, or to delete your account, by emailing support@thegreattavpicks.com. We reply within 1–2 business days. US users: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) you may request to know, delete, and correct personal information, and you may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
18+ only
The site is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has an account, email us and we will delete it.
